Expert Guidance by Dr. Julianna Englund
Meet Dr. Julianna Englund, ND, LAc
Dr. Julianna Englund is a dually licensed naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist with a decade of experience focused on chronic pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis (IC). She has dedicated her career to helping women with IC find relief and regain control of their lives. Dr. Englund’s approach is both personal and professional – she truly listens to the challenges her patients face, and her passion for healing shines through in everything she does. With her warm demeanor and deep expertise, she makes women with IC feel heard, understood, and hopeful.
Why She Created 12 Weeks to a Happy Bladder
In her clinical practice, Dr. Englund has seen firsthand how debilitating and isolating IC can be. Many of her patients came to her feeling frustrated by limited treatment options and overwhelmed by conflicting advice. Determined to bridge this gap, she created 12 Weeks to a Happy Bladder to share her knowledge beyond the treatment room. It offers a step-by-step roadmap any woman with IC can follow at her own pace. This course is her way of answering the question she hears so often: “What else can I do to feel better?”
Dr. Englund’s Three-Part Healing Framework: Reduce, Repair, Restore
Over years of treating IC, Dr. Englund developed a three-part healing framework that forms the foundation of this program:
1. Reduce – Focuses on identifying and reducing the foods, stressors, and habits that aggravate bladder symptoms. This phase calms inflammation and gives the bladder a chance to settle.
2. Repair – Supports bladder tissue, gut health, pelvic floor relaxation, and nervous system healing through nutrition, supplements, and integrative techniques.
3. Restore – Helps women build long-term resilience, expand bladder capacity, reintroduce foods thoughtfully, and reconnect with confidence in their body.
Each phase is delivered with compassion and clarity. Dr. Englund doesn’t promise a cure—she teaches strategies that work in the real world, helping women make sustainable progress and feel more empowered in their own healing process.
A Self-Paced, Educational Journey
12 Weeks to a Happy Bladder is designed as a self-paced, educational program. Dr. Englund walks you through each week's focus with video lessons, handouts, and action steps. You’ll learn how to understand your body, manage symptoms, and implement practical changes. The course isn’t meant to replace medical care, but to serve as a trustworthy companion on your healing path—one informed by years of experience.
Whether you move through the content week-by-week or take it slower, you’ll feel supported by Dr. Englund’s warm, knowledgeable voice every step of the way.
Professional, Warm, and Encouraging Support
Dr. Englund brings a rare blend of clinical excellence and heartfelt compassion to her work. Her medical training at Bastyr University and mentorships with a range of healing professionals have given her a deep respect for the complexity of the human body and spirit. She believes in the power of education, presence, and consistency. Through this course, she offers not only tools, but hope.
Many women finish the program feeling more in control, more connected to their bodies, and less afraid of their symptoms. With Dr. Englund as your guide, you’ll have the support to move forward with confidence.
Rooted in Integrity, Guided by Healing
Dr. Englund’s work is grounded in the values she calls her I HEAL philosophy:
Integrity – Supporting each person in discovering and honoring their true needs
Healing – Trusting the body’s innate ability to heal into wholeness
Energy – Cultivating inner light and healing potential
Authenticity – Encouraging each person to be true to themselves
Leadership – Providing compassionate guidance toward self-awareness and growth
These values are reflected in every lesson and recommendation she offers. They’re also a reflection of her lifelong learning: from her years at Bastyr University to her mentorship with Dr. Jean Yu, from orthopedic acupuncture and craniosacral therapy to qigong and mind-body integration. Dr. Englund's diverse training informs a style of care that is both grounded in science and infused with soul.
She continues to offer acupuncture and craniosacral services on the Central Coast of California, and now, through this program, she extends her healing philosophy to women everywhere who are ready to take their bladder health into their own hands.
You are not alone in this. And there is a path forward.
